The envelope and the memo on the check should state:

Avondale Tombstone Restoration Project"

The cost to upright the tombstones, repair the broken ones, as well
as remove spray paint on some tombstones is projected to cost  
$4,500 to $5,000.

There will be an additional fee for a marker placed near the miners
gravesites.

Honesdale, PA 18431 is contracted to do the work.  
Phillip Monaghan is the owner.

All work is expected to be completed in time for the 140th
anniversary of the disaster in Sept. of 2009.

There are 61  men and boys buried in the Washburn Cemetery from
the Avondale Disaster.
